On June 18, 2024, President Biden announced a new process for certain noncitizen spouses of U.S. citizens to apply for lawful permanent residence without having to leave the United States. He also announced a pathway that would allow individuals, including DACA recipients and other Dreamers, who have earned a degree at an accredited U.S. institution of higher education in the United States, and who have received an offer of employment from a U.S. employer in a field related to their degree, to be able to more quickly receive work visas. News Alert: USCIS extends Green Card validity for Conditional Residents with a pending I-751 or I-829 for 48 months

USCIS is extending the validity of Permanent Resident Cards (also known as Green Cards) for petitioners who properly file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, or Form I-829, Petition by Investor to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status for 48 months beyond the card’s expiration date. This change started on January 11, 2023, for Form I-829 and on January 25, 2023, for Form I-751.
