Success Stories: Marriage-based adjustment of status application approved for green card applicant from the Philippines

We recently received an approval of lawful permanent residence (a green card) for a Filipino national through her U.S. citizen spouse at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Houston, TX Field Office. Congratulations to our clients!

Our Filipina client originally entered the United States on a B-2 visitor visa to accompany her U.S. husband and three children while on a planned temporary visit for medical reasons. The family lived in the Philippines where the children were born but their situation changed and they decided to live in the United States on a permanent basis.

We assisted them on their adjustment of status application which allowed for the foreign spouse to work in the United States and travel abroad with authorization while the green card application was pending. They were recently interviewed at the Houston Field Office of the USCIS and their case was approved soon after the interview.
