Success Stories: Marriage-based adjustment of status application approved for green card applicant from Vietnam who entered on K-1 Fiancee Visa

We recently received an approval of lawful permanent residence for a green card applicant from Vietnam through her U.S. citizen spouse at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Queens Field Office. Congratulations to our clients!

The couple was recently approved for a marriage-based green card for the foreign spouse. The foreign spouse initially entered on a K-1 Fiance visa which requires them to marry within 90 days of admission on the visa. However, due to office closures due to the pandemic lockdowns, they were unable to do so. After filing the green card application themselves, working with other immigration attorneys and receiving multiple denials, we were hired to prepare them and accompany them for their in-person interview at the Queens Field Office. We are happy to report that the foreign spouse is now a conditional resident able to permanently live with their U.S. citizen son as the couple expects their second child in the near future.
